Introduce the approach or activity
A packet of mystery seeds should be sent to the student. The student will then use this sheet to observe and record the plant growth.
As the plant grows they should speculate on what kind of plant it is. They can use Google to help them search.

Top tips and key considerations
Don’t forget to send the seeds to the student!
Best not to use seeds for plants that are toxic to pets/children in case the student has pets or siblings.
What resources are required?
Plant seeds, soil, plant pot.
Recording sheets (although notes could be made on plain paper)
How will you capture evidence of learning?
Work produced by students, parent/carer witness statement, learner reflective log, photos
